Support for Adult Carers in the Scottish Borders
At the Borders Carers Centre, we are dedicated to providing tailored support for unpaid carers, recognising the invaluable role they play in caring for a loved one.
Our services are designed to offer practical information, advice, and emotional support to anyone over the age of 18 who is caring for a relative or friend.
Through our partnership with Scottish Borders Council, we carry out the Carers Support Plan, a person-centred conversation that helps identify where carers may benefit from additional support or assistance.
We raise awareness of the contribution unpaid adult carers make to the community as well as helping carers understand and access their rights.
Whether you’re looking for advice, seeking to understand your rights, or in need of a listening ear, we are here to support you every step of the way.

Testimonials
Having a child with additional needs is exhausting, frustrating and very wonderful. I just wasn’t coping, and felt really unsupported. No-one was listening and then my Dr referred me to the Carers Centre. What a lifesaver. For all of us.
I’m still fighting, but now I feel like I have someone in my corner.
The parent carer liaison worker came to the meeting I had at School.
I really felt like my voice was heard for the first time.
