We believe that by offering a wide range of support and assistance to unpaid carers we can help you to sustain your caring role, as well as support you to maintain your own health and wellbeing.
Carers Support Plan
Our Carers Support Plan offers tailored guidance, resources, and practical support to help you balance your wellbeing with your caring responsibilities.
Counselling
At The Borders Carers Centre, our free counselling service offers you a judgment-free space to talk openly, find support, and focus on your well-being.
Hospital Support
Our Hospital Support service is designed to provide comprehensive assistance to both carers and their loved ones during hospital admissions and the transition back home or to another care setting.
Advocacy
The Borders Carers Centre can advocate on your behalf or accompany you to meetings to ensure that you have your say and that you are listened to.
Emergency Card
Get peace of mind with our Carers Emergency Card. It ensures care for your loved ones if you face an unexpected emergency.
Grants and Funding
If you, or the person you care for, need financial assistance, for example: equipment or essential items there are many grants, funds, and charities that may be able to help.
The Borders Carers Centre are happy to apply for and submit applications for relevant grants on your behalf.
Carers Support Groups
There are a number of support groups for carers available across the Borders. We organise lunches and trips, and great friendships often evolve.
Training and Workshops
The Borders Carers Centre offer free training and workshops to Carers and also to Professionals. Keep up to date with our up-coming training and workshops.
