Event Notes

Please mention 'Staying Afloat' workshop in title

As part of our Take a Breath project, we are running a series of 5 x 2 hour weekly workshops in a peer group of other carers facilitated by a trainer.

The aim of the workshops is to turn the focus from the person you care for to yourself. As carers the emphasis is often on meeting the needs of others.

The workshops will help you to think about you and how you can keep yourself physically and mentally well (therefore increasing your capacity to care for another person), make more time for yourself, discover new things you might enjoy doing and perhaps make some new friends.

You will be personally supported by the Carers Liaison Worker throughout the entirety of your own personal ‘journey of discovery’ to ensure that the issues which are identified during the process are properly addressed to empower you.

Please speak with your Carer Liaison Worker if you are interested in this course.
