Family Fun Day (BAME)
Having recently completed a new Carers Strategy for our area, it became clear from the Equality Impact Assessment (EIA) that BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) carers found it more difficult to recognise themselves as carers and to open up and seek or ask for help even when they are struggling.
In order to address this gap and to improve the uptake of opportunities for time out from caring, we would like to offer afternoon of games, food and fun at The Kingsknowes Hotel in Galashiels specifically for our BAME community.
