2026 Carers Manifesto launched
Ahead of the 2026 Scottish Parliament election, the National Carer Organisations have launched the 2026 Carers Manifesto, Supporting unpaid carers and young carers in 2026 and beyond. This manifesto urges all political parties to commit to supporting unpaid carers – recognising that 3 in 5 of us will become carers at some point in our lives. It outlines 10 key asks that we urge all political parties to adopt — to ensure carers are valued, included, and supported.
